Yes, but it depends on what your hair color is currently, and if it already has color on it. If you have colored your hair with a dark color, or any color besides blond, you can only use bleach to lighten it. Color doesn't lift color. If your hair is not colored dark or at all, you can use a high lift color instead of bleach. Honestly, though, bleach is the way to go.
